Which host should you choose for Garry's Mod?

1. Processor frequency (criterion #1)

Like most Source games, Garry's Mod relies above all on the frequency of a single core. The more players and addons pile up (DarkRP, entities, props), the more the CPU suffers. A modern high-frequency processor like the Ryzen 9 7950X3D will always outperform an old low-end multi-core Xeon. Be wary of "unlimited" offers on slow shared hardware.

2. RAM suited to your gamemode

• 2 to 3 GB: small Sandbox or Prop Hunt among friends.
• 4 to 6 GB: DarkRP server with an addon collection and 20-30 players.
• 8 GB and up: large RP server heavily loaded with addons, active community.

3. Anti-DDoS protection included
