The main distributions are offered: Debian 12 and 13, Ubuntu 24.04, AlmaLinux 9 and 10. Debian 12 is installed by default. You can reinstall or switch distribution at any time from the management area, in a few minutes — the operation wipes the disk, so back up first. An SSH key can be added at checkout.
Yes. You get full SSH root access on your Fly-Serv Linux VPS: install whatever packages you like, open the ports you choose, run your own services and change the kernel if you need to. That is what KVM virtualisation allows, unlike shared containers. The trade-off is that security and updates are yours to handle.
