Frequently asked questions · VPS Pterodactyl
Pterodactyl is an open-source panel that manages game servers in Docker containers, with a full web interface: console, WebFTP, subusers, scheduled tasks and per-server resource limits. It is the most widespread option among hosts and large communities. Our VPS arrives ready for you to install it, and the machine stays yours.
Yes. With Pterodactyl you deploy as many game servers as your resources allow — memory, CPU and disk are shared between them. It is the setup used by communities running several games, and by resellers. The arithmetic is simple: from three or four servers on, a VPS costs less than the subscriptions added together.
Plan on around 4 GB of RAM for the panel and one or two small servers, 8 to 16 GB for an active community running several games, and 32 GB if you resell hosting. You can switch plans at any time.
Yes. KVM virtualisation reserves your VPS its memory and its cores: they are not shared with the other machines on the host, unlike containers. Your performance therefore stays stable even when the neighbours are busy. The NVMe storage and the advertised bandwidth follow the same rule.
