Renting a V Rising server: from purchase to your first boss

Between the purchase click and the moment your clan hunts its first V Blood boss, only a few minutes should pass. Renting a dedicated server keeps that promise, provided you follow the right order. Here is the journey in 4 steps, from cart to your first castle placed.
1. Match the offer to your game mode
A co-op PvE Trio doesn't have the same needs as an open PvP server where clans raid each other every night. Choose the number of slots and the clan size (ClanSize) based on the vibe you're after. To frame the budget before confirming, see what to expect on the price side.
2. Get a server already online
Once payment is confirmed, the server is provisioned automatically: no need to download the dedicated server via SteamCMD or install anything. You receive an IP and a UDP port ready to share, on a machine already running 24/7.
3. Choose PvE or PvP in FlyPanel
From FlyPanel, you switch GameModeType between PvE (adventure without aggression) and PvP (castle damage, raid windows, harvest rates). The interface edits ServerGameSettings.json and ServerHostSettings.json without going through a text editor. Every field is explained in our configuration guide.
4. Get the clan to join
- Share the IP and port (default 9876, query on 9877 in UDP).
- In game: Play → Online servers → Add by IP.
- Each member creates their vampire and you form your clan in-game.
Set a server password before sharing the IP: on a PvP world, an open server on wipe night attracts curious visitors faster than a boss goes down.
