How do you configure a dedicated Farming Simulator 25 server?

A poorly configured dedicated FS25 server means a save lost after three hours of harvest, or a game that refuses every new player. The good news: almost everything is set from a single web page, without editing a file by hand. Let's go through the parameters that protect your farm.

First connection to the web interface

Once the Dedicated Server is installed, open its web interface with the address and the admin password. On a hosted server, these credentials come with the plan: no installation on your side, you go straight into the management panel.

Map, savegame and server identity

Map or savegame: start a new map or load a save to pick up an existing farm right where you left it.
Server name: this is the name visible in the multiplayer list, choose it clearly so your players can find it.
Game password: set it to stay private among friends.

The two settings people forget and regret

Two parameters prevent most nasty surprises. First the administrator password: without it, you can't kick a troublemaker or change the rules mid-game. Then the automatic backups: set a short interval, because on a map full of animals and contracts, losing an hour of play hurts.

Player count and ModHub mods

Set the number of players (up to ~16) based on the RAM and CPU actually available rather than the theoretical maximum. Get into the habit of a clean restart after each batch of settings, then reconnect once to check that the map reloads properly before inviting your players.
