How do you join a Farming Simulator 25 server?

You have a server address but the connection won't go through? Nine times out of ten it isn't a wrong click: it's a matter of game version, mods to fetch or a mistyped password. Let's walk through each step, fixing the blockers as we go.

Open the list of games

From the FS25 main menu, go to Multiplayer then Join Game. Each line shows the server name, the map, the player count (up to ~16) and a padlock if the game is private. A modded server carries a mods icon: remember it, it drives the next step.

Find the right server with the filters

• Search bar: type the exact name given by the host to avoid look-alikes.
• Compatible version: a server on a different game version won't appear or will refuse entry (the number one cause of "I can't see it").
• Free slots: no point in hammering a full server, wait for a player to disconnect.

Downloading ModHub mods

If the server requires mods, FS25 downloads them automatically from the ModHub before letting you in. Let the bar run to the end: this is what guarantees your client has exactly the same tractors, maps and scripts as the server. An interruption here often returns a connection error.

The password case

On a protected game, enter the password provided by the administrator (watch out for capital letters and trailing spaces). On a hosted dedicated server, the address and password come from the owner, not from the ModHub or GIANTS.

Troubleshooting tip: if entry fails with no clear message, check your FS25 version first before blaming the server. A version mismatch is the most frequent blocker.
