What is the best host for a Rust server?

Rust is one of the most demanding game servers there is: large persistent world, heavy physics, dozens of simultaneous players. The wrong host turns your wipe nights into a slideshow. Here are the criteria that really make the difference when choosing the best Rust host.

1. A powerful CPU (criterion no. 1)

Rust is very CPU-demanding, especially when the population rises. A modern high-frequency processor like the Ryzen 9 7950X3D handles 100+ players far better than an old multi-core shared Xeon. Avoid "unlimited" offers on slow hardware.

2. Generous RAM

  • 6 to 8 GB: small server, reduced map, among friends.
