Installing the server is only half the road; it's the configuration that decides whether your world will go the distance. A well-tuned Frozen Flame server means smooth co-op, closed to intruders and cut to fit your group, with no nasty surprise on the evening everyone connects at once. The settings you can't get wrong

Should you plan a wipe?
On a persistent world, the question of a wipe (resetting the map and the builds) comes up sooner or later: after a big game update, a change of starting biome or simply to restart on clean foundations. Before any wipe, archive the current save: you can go back to it if the group misses the old world. Warn players ahead of time too — nothing kills morale like a base razed without notice.
Secure the server and keep it up to date
Once SteamCMD is in place, replay the update with every new version of the game: a server that's behind flat-out refuses connections. Keep a robust password and check from time to time that your saves are actually written to disk, not merely scheduled.
Tune the performance
- Grant RAM consistent with the number of players: neither famine nor waste.
